Frequently asked questions

RadSwift is workflow-assistance software for measurement extraction and report-entry support. It is not intended to replace radiologist interpretation, make autonomous diagnoses, or finalize reports. The interpreting physician remains responsible for reviewing all outputs and the final report.
RadSwift DXA is currently classified as radiologist-reviewed workflow assistance software, not autonomous diagnostic software. No diagnostic claims are made for this free version. Regulatory status depends on intended use and deployment context, and the appropriate regulatory pathway is being evaluated as the product evolves.
No. All processing happens entirely on your local machine. No patient data is transmitted to any server — the application reads values from the DXA report on your screen and copies them to your clipboard. That said, users should still follow their practice or institution's IT, privacy, and security policies regarding any new software.
RadSwift DXA is a standalone Windows application. It installs no browser extensions, background services, drivers, or system-level components. It reads the DXA scan report displayed on your screen and copies extracted values to your clipboard — nothing else. It can be uninstalled at any time through Windows Settings → Apps.
Because all processing is local and no PHI leaves the machine, RadSwift DXA has a minimal IT footprint. We provide a full security and technical overview — including data flow, network requirements, and HIPAA posture — that you can share with your IT or compliance team.

RadSwift is designed to assist with measurement extraction and reporting workflow. All outputs should be reviewed and verified by the radiologist before being included in a final report. Any clinical deployment should follow your practice's normal IT, privacy, security, and quality-review processes.
The software should be treated as assistive. The radiologist should review, correct, or ignore any output as appropriate — just as you would review a transcribed value. The goal is to reduce manual entry burden while keeping the physician fully in control of the final report.
The free DXA version is available because we're actively seeking workflow feedback from radiologists and practices during this early phase. Free access does not change the expectation of clinical review, institutional approval, or appropriate security practices — those remain the radiologist's and institution's responsibility.
