Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about how RadSwift works, security, and compatibility.

How does RadSwift extract measurements?
RadSwift uses AI to read measurement values displayed on your ultrasound workstation screen. Those values are sent via an encrypted cloud pipeline to our processing servers, where they are converted into paste-ready report text and returned to your workstation — all within seconds. Image data is never stored. For DXA, extraction runs entirely locally on your computer.
Does it work with my PACS or reporting system?
RadSwift works with any PACS vendor and DICOM router. For reporting, it integrates with PowerScribe 360, Epic, and any text-based reporting system. If you're unsure about compatibility with your specific setup, email us and we'll confirm before you commit.
Is this HIPAA compliant?
RadSwift is designed to support HIPAA-compliant workflows. The cloud pipeline uses end-to-end TLS encryption, and our infrastructure operates under zero-retention terms — measurement data is processed in real time and immediately discarded, never stored. We provide a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) for institutions that require one. You remain responsible for ensuring use complies with your institution's own policies.
Do I need IT approval to install RadSwift?
Yes — because the ultrasound product connects to your PACS and routes data through a cloud pipeline, installation requires involvement from your IT department. We coordinate directly with your IT team and handle the setup ourselves. Most installations take about one hour, in person or over Zoom. Your IT team will typically need to allowlist a small number of outbound domains; we provide the full list upfront.
Which ultrasound machines are supported?
RadSwift is agnostic to ultrasound vendor — it works by reading the measurement display on your workstation screen, so it is not tied to any specific machine or manufacturer. Book a demo and we'll verify compatibility with your specific setup before you commit to anything.
How long does setup take?
Typical setup takes about one hour, either in person or over Zoom. We'll connect RadSwift to your PACS and reporting system, verify extraction accuracy on a few sample images, and train your team. After that, it runs silently in the background with no ongoing maintenance required.
